Little Alpaca Company is based at Lonsdale Farm in the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors. What started with three pet alpacas has grown into something we're truly proud of.

Our beginnings
It all started with a visit to the Yorkshire Alpaca Group in 2010. That one trip was enough to convince the family to swap suburban life for something a little different — alpaca ownership. Our first herd was a small group of pet males: Caleb, Cookie and Figo, soon joined by Murphy and Malty.
Females joined the herd in 2016, and that same summer we welcomed our first home-born alpaca — Caesar, a beautiful black cria who has since grown into our sire. From those humble beginnings, the herd and the farm have grown together.
Our ethos
Everything we do starts with the animals. We spend time every day observing and interacting with the herd — it's the best way to know they're happy and healthy. That hands-on approach shapes everything, from our breeding choices to how we welcome visitors.
We're focused on producing quality black alpacas using the best genetics we can find, and we process our fleece using traditional methods — hand washing, carding and spinning — to create wool goods sold in our shop. Above all, we love sharing what we've learned and helping more people discover just how wonderful alpacas are.
